DALSOUPLE RUBBER SCOOPS SUSTAINABILITY PRIZE AT 100% DESIGN
Rubber flooring specialist Dalsouple has bagged the Sustainable Building Solution Award sponsored by What's New in Building in the 100% Design Awards.
The company beat off stiff competition on the short list from Impey wet rooms and German manufacturer Sky Light. "What swung it, in the judges' eyes, was Dalsouple\'s commitment to true sustainability in a world where so many companies merely pay lip service to the concept" , commented WNIB editor Mark Pennington. "Rubber is a natural product, and what Dalsouple do with it leaves other, less environmentally friendly materials in the shade."
For Dalsouple, such high profile recognition of the company’s comprehensive approach to sustainability is particularly welcome. “It can be hard for truly sustainable products to stand out amidst all the ‘greenwash’, so we were delighted with this acknowledgement of our business ethic,” says Tim Gaukroger, MD.
This award rounded off a successful launch year for DalNaturel, which also took the runner up prize in the Grand Design Magazine Awards in the summer.
Dalsouple natural rubber comes in a huge range of colours and textures, so there’s no compromise on design flexibility. It’s tough enough for the heaviest traffic areas, anti-slip, low dust and easy to maintain.
